Google AdWords
Search engines are an unmissable opportunity to present your products and services to a new audience. Using Google AdWords we can connect you with new customers at the precise moment when they're looking for your products or services. The Google Network reaches more than 80% of Internet users. With AdWords cost-per-click pricing, it's easy to control costs and you only pay when people click on your ad. You pay only for targeted leads which are more likely to convert visitors to customers resulting in a high return on investment.
Google consistently monitors the system to ensure browsers or competitors do not 'spam' your adwords by continually clicking through. If a case is detected, Google refund the cost to you.
Step One – Campaign Set-Up: Campaign Research, Reporting and Referral
Research: The Smart SEM team will set up the marketing campaign by selecting applicable key words using your existing material and by further independent research. These words will be submitted to Google’s search engine to ascertain firstly your site’s existing rating for the keyword in question, and secondly the degree of competition applicable to that keyword.
Further research of the potential selected words will allow us to formulate a prediction of the word’s potential suitability as regards hits and expenses. From our findings we will draw up a list of highly applicable and customised keywords on which to base your campaign.
Report: These findings are compiled into a report from which we are able to tailor your campaign for maximum impact by selecting the words with the highest potential. The initial research might include a vast number of wide ranging keywords, but to ensure it is as targeted as possible we will concentrate on the most potentially successful words, i.e. the most applicable words with the most effective click-through-rate and hence the highest return on investment.
For each campaign we will propose a minimum of 20 keywords, however, we are happy to discuss campaigns working with a higher number of keywords. For every 5 extra keywords or phrases add 5% to charges shown for the initial research costs.
(Note a keyword may be presented in several ways. Where the actual elements in a campaign are based on 10 words or phrases there may be up to 20 that will trigger the AdWords viewing. For example: Barbeque = “Gas barbeque”, “BBQ”, [barbeques])
Referral: The selected keywords are then referred to Google’s AdWords management facility and your campaign is set up. (There is a £5.00 set up charge by Google.)
At this stage we will produce a range of ads which will tell your audience about your products or services within Google’s editorial guidelines. Each ad is carefully crafted to be as applicable as possible to the related searches and to contain incentives to encourage optimal interest. Such incentives work with your existing services such as special offers, discount prices, free delivery, etc. The key is to be as informative as possible and to give you an edge over competitors, thus resulting in the highest click through rate possible.
For instance, keeping with the example of Barbeques, an associated search might be for “gas barbeques”, therefore an ad group will be established within the campaign for this range of searches:
Gas Barbeques
Barbeque specialists with a huge range and free UK delivery.
www.bestbarbeques.co.uk
When users click on your ad, it takes them to your website at the exact item of interest, for example if you are selling Gas Barbeques, the person clicking will be taken to the point in the e-shop that has the Gas Barbeques.
Your ad will appear on relevant Google search results pages, on other Google sites such as Froogle and on Google’s partner sites, including AOL, AskJeeves, and EarthLink. No matter how many people see your ad, you only pay when someone actually clicks on it. And there's no minimum monthly spending or time commitment. Your ads run for as long as you wish. The only proviso is that your campaign reaches a minimum of .5% click through of the total times the Google search engine returns that particular query.
